Keynote title : Service focus and focused service composition

Abstract

In a world where one service can span the globe, challenges abound. In a world where no service solves anyone's problems, everyone's problems are solved by composing over many services. In a world where ease of use and mega-scale collide like Twinkies and Transformers, only careful treading of design choices can carry us forward. In this befuddled world, one keynote shall rise to deliver all the answers. This keynote will not be that, though. Unfortunately, Clemens does not have all the answers. Instead, he will use the opportunity to take a tour through several of his recent efforts, highlight how attention to language and product design helped achieve goals, and illuminate some of the problems faced, both solved and unsolved.
