Statement: War in Ukraine

In response to the continuous unprovoked Russian aggression, we would like to express our great concern for the life and health of the people of Ukraine. At the same time, we want to emphasize that we cannot remain indifferent to this aggression. We do not agree with the war and acts of violence that Russia has directed against Ukraine.

This aggression has also academic context as majority of Russian Academic Institutions have officially expressed their support. This being the case we have decided that we will not accept any submissions that are affiliated with Russian Academic Institutions. We will also not issue invoices to such institutions. In other words, researchers from Russia, desiring to participate in FedCSIS 2022, will be able to participate as private persons and will receive personal invoices (with no affiliation mentioned).

We would like to emphasize that war is never a solution and express our hope that it will end soon.

Organizers of FedCSIS 2022.
